Mrs. Reem Al Anbari is the Chief Financial Officer at Borouge since October 2014, the first woman to occupy the CFO position across ADNOC Group of companies.
She is responsible for setting up strategic direction and driving financial performance, defining Borouge's financial strategy and managing the finance functions including Group Control, Business Control and Accounting (Middle East, Africa, Asia South and China), Cash and Insurance Management, Credit, Tax and Business Process Support covering two organizations-Borouge production in Abu Dhabi & sales and marketing in Singapore. She oversees investment processes and evaluations and supports business leaders with financial analysis and advice.
Mrs. Al Anbari has more than 20 years of experience. She joined Borouge in June 2010 as the Accounting Manager – Middle East & Africa leading the Accounting Function in Borouge head office and ensuring all financial compliance aspects with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). In January 2012, she was promoted to Vice President of Group Accounting to care for the corporate financial controlling of Borouge ADP and Pte, as well as Borouge's three plants.
She started her career in 1996 working as Cost & Budget Controller at BUNDUQ Oil Producing Company in Abu Dhabi. She continued in the same company and took up several senior positions such as General Accounts Supervisor, Senior Finance Controller, Assistant Finance Manager and Head of Internal Audit Group.
She is affliliated with the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM), Master Financial Controller, and had undergone various top management excellence leadership seminars, managerial programs, Health, Safety & Environment Management System Awareness (HSEMS) and other finance-related trainings.
She holds a B.A. in Economics & Administrative Science in Accounting from the University of United Arab Emirates in 1994. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), conferred in San Diego, California in 2000. She is a UAE National based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
